Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our weekly RCIA meetings are suspended until further notice. The situation will be re-evaluated at the end of April. In the meantime, we have gathered some resources to help you soldier on in these difficult times:

Head over to Apple Podcasts and follow the Alaska Mission team's show Mission Milkshakes. A dose of caring and chaotic chatter about the Catholic faith and the steps we can take to better understand and live it.

Follow Ascension Presents on YouTube for a whole host of great content on the Faith from a variety of presenters!

Listen to some wisdom from St. Thomas Aquinas on maintaining an ordered life in times of crisis.

Download the Hallow app from the App Store for guided prayer and meditations.

Looking for a little more intellectual formation? Check out the content on Formed, available for free with the parish access code: VPTQGR. Dr. Edward Sri, Dr. Tim Gray, and the rest of the team at Augustine Institute lead a wide range of easy to watch, easy to love studies covering the Sacraments, Scriptures, and more!

Want a challenge? The Thomistic Institute's Aquinas 101 series on the philosophy of St. Thomas Aquinas will keep you entertained/scratching your head for months.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

Thursdays, 7:00 - 8:30 PM

Are you interested in sharing your faith?  Learning more about your faith? Become part of the RCIA team and do both! God may be calling you to welcome others into the church! Come to an RCIA meeting on Thursday evening to see if this is for you. There's a short form for people to submit if they are interested in becoming a Catholic, or learning more about their faith. This program is ongoing, for details contact Robert Bernard. Meetings are Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 PM in the Community Room behind the kitchen.

We welcome all inquirers and encourage those who may only have "thought about it" in the past. There is no obligation, just answers to your questions.

Baptism Preparation Classes

Generally held on Tuesdays, 7:00 - 8:30 PM

Interested in bringing your child into the Catholic Church? Baptism classes are for parents who wish to have their child baptized, and for those who wish to be godparents of a baptized child. Please contact the Cathedral Office to inquire about the class schedule. Our next baptism preparation classes are scheduled for the month of January. Sessions are typically held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 PM at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Parents must complete all three sessions in order to fulfill the requirements. The curriculum is Reborn and can be accessed on formed.org by registering with the parish access code: VPTQGR.
