The Adult Religious Education program has two components.
First, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) program: there's a short form for people to submit if they are interested in becoming a Catholic, or learning more about their faith. This program is ongoing, for details contact Robert Bernard. Meetings are Thursday evenings from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm in the Community Room behind the kitchen.
We welcome all inquirers and encourage those who may only have "thought about it" in the past. There is no obligation, just answers to your questions.
Catholics: Are you interested in sharing your faith? Learning more about your faith? Become part of the RCIA team and do both! God may be calling you to welcome others into the church! Come to an RCIA meeting on Sunday afternoon to see if this is for you. There will be no pressure, just come and see what it is about.
The second component is preparation for the sacrament of baptism. Baptism classes are for parents who wish to have their child baptized, and for the godparents. Please contact the Cathedral Office to schedule classes. There are three sessions held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Sacred Heart Cathedral. The classroom location can be coordinated with the Cathedral Office or with Fr. Ross.
