Attention all Catholic families and adults of all ages!

What? You're invited on a pilgrimage!
When? Pilgrimage Friday/Saturday July 26-27
How? On your bikes!

All Catholics of the Interior are invited to join us this summer on a journey to challenge body and soul - from Delta Junction to North Pole, with a mass celebration, fellowship and overnight at Birch Lake recreation site.

    Day 1:
  • Meet at Our Lady of Sorrows at 9:00 AM, load trailer with supplies, gather for blessing and depart by 10:00 AM. Travel to Birch Lake Recreation Area - Eielson Air Force Base (AFB). Check in with Admin personnel. Prepare cabins, shower, prepare dinner (there's a barbecue pit and a picnic table at each cabin). Mass is scheduled at approximately 7:30 pm.
  • Day 2:
  • Conduct cabin check-out in coordination with designated personnel. Gather for blessing, depart camp site by 10:00 AM and travel to St. Nick's in North Pole. Gather for Divine Mercy Chaplet.

  • In the online sign-up form, please provide your email for trip planning updates and your cellphone to maintain communications during the road trip. Once we have your registration, we will contact you:
    • To arrange for overnight stay(s),
    • To arrange for transportation of your gear to and from the sites,
    • To arrange for return transportation for yourself and/or your gear.
    • To arrange for a bike checkup as needed. Bike shop maintenance is highly recommended, however

  • Birch Lake Recreation Area - Eielson AFB accommodations are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will arrange for cabins to keep them within the same area of the site. Two-man cabins cost $30 for the night or $15 per person: pay by cash or check on site. Cyclists should bring their own food, sleeping bag and spare clothing - a pack list will be issued via email and posted here.
